Jewellery retailers are preparing for their annual bonanza as romantic shoppers across the world plan to give gold to their Valentine.<BR/><BR/>In the US the celebration of Valentine's Day is particularly busy, as lovers head to the jewellery store to find the perfect gift.<BR/><BR/>A number of gold retailers have announced lines to coincide with the day, with a full range of gifts on offer.<BR/><BR/>Wal-Mart has initiated a major new range of jewellery gifts in the US, including a quarter-carat heart pendant in 14-karat gold from its Keepsake collection.<BR/><BR/>In the UK the department store John Lewis has offered its own range of gold jewellery, including a Heart Charm Bangle.<BR/><BR/>In Hatton Garden, the heart of London's jewellery sector, HGO is offering a wide selection of gold jewellery as it gears up for the big day.<BR/><BR/>The firm is offering discounts on a number of ranges and has unveiled an unusual Brazilian woven gold collar collection, available in 18k or 9k with 18k plating. <BR/><BR/>The US Census Bureau says February is the second busiest month for jewellers only just behind December.
