Gold and Jewellery Group sees sales increase

The Gold and Jewellery Group has reported a 22 per cent increase in gold and jewellery sales of Dh450 million during this year's Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF).<BR/> <BR/>The Dubai-based company, which represents almost 500 retail and manufacturing partners, cited the award winning World Family Commemorative Gold Coin Promotion as the main reason for the impressive increase in sales.<BR/> <BR/>Tawhid Abdullah, chairman of the group, commented: 'By offering the buying public an innovative and relevant festival product (the World Family Commemorative Gold Coin), as well as simultaneously running a far reaching, attractive, and exciting festival promotion, we managed to create the perfect product-promotion mix - which has delivered tangible results for our retailers.'<BR/><BR/>The World Family Commemorative Gold Coin is a 10-gram pure gold memento, which depicts the DSF World Family on one side and a golden landscape scene of Dubai's architectural triumphs on the other.<BR/><BR/>The World Family Commemorative Gold Coin Promotion offered prizes of one kilograms of gold distributed in the form of 100 World Family Commemorative Gold Coins each day and a grand prize of 1,000 gold coins.
