Causing controversy in America but big profits for the jewellery industry, a recent trend of same-sex marriages in San Francisco has seen a major business boom in a number of areas including gold jewellery.<BR/><BR/>Reportedly since the area started to issue the marriages last Thursday, jewellers have seen rapid increases in the sales of gold and silver wedding bands of all prices, according to servihoo.<BR/><BR/>The decision by the city's mayor was not announced in advance and so couples wanting to marry had no time to organise issues such as hiring wedding planners, getting flowers or buying jewellery gifts.<BR/><BR/>Providing a small but much-needed boost to the city's economy, the weddings have seen a welcome rise in jewellery sales for the gold industry, something which is still ongoing even though marriages are beginning to taper off and Valentine's Day is over.<BR/><BR/>Cash from income tax from the business buzz created is hoped to help towards San Francisco's current $250 million dollar budget shortage.
