Monday, 23rd August 2004 (8710 views) An international jewellery convention is to be held in Chennai in October to showcase items made by a host of materials.<BR/><BR/>'Grass to Gold' will run for three days and feature jewellery made from grass and shells to gold or platinum, according to News Today.<BR/><BR/>The event, which will be held at the Taj Coromandel, will feature fashion shows, workshops, competitions and seminars.<BR/> <BR/>Key figures from the industry are also set to appear at the event and offer their knowledge, including jewellery designers and craft experts.<BR/><BR/>The jewellery conference is being organised by the Craft Council of India, the office of the Development Commissioner of Handicrafts, the Ministry of Textiles and India's government.<br/><img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=3267692"/>
