Thursday, 28th October 2004 (9062 views) Australian jeweller Joe Dipierdomenico is celebrating his success after eleven years in the business.<BR/><BR/>The Dia-oro business first began with hardly any jewellery and just $1000, but now it has sales of nearly $2.5 million each year, according to The Age.<BR/><BR/>In fact the firm has now won an award in the retail category for its business growth.<BR/><BR/>Although stock was worth around $18,000 at most when Dia-oro was first started, jewellery in the shop is now worth $40,000, offering nine and 18 carat gold jewellery.<BR/><BR/>Originally beginning as a wholesaler, the store soon moved into selling directly to the public.<BR/><BR/>With three stores set up already, Mr Dipierdomenico now hopes to open four additional outlets in the next two years.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=3732800"/>
