Pan African Resources has revealed that drilling at its gold project in Ghana is performing well.

Currently running a 6,000-metre drilling programme, 1,709 metres have so far been drilled to help test the known gold mineralization at the site, according to AFX News.

Managing director Roger Craddock commented: "These results confirm the attractiveness of our prospects in Ghana where we have seen some significant intersections of high grade mineralization."

It is hoped the current drilling work will also test the potential of the highly prospective Collette Prospect.

"Our next step will be to process results from Mozambique and further results from Ghana before we are able to better determine the increase in our assets but I am most encouraged by what we have seen so far," Mr Craddock added.

The company claims that targets in Mozambique and Ghana could each produce a resource of over one million ounces of gold.
