Tuesday, 21st June 2005 (4259 views) The Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX) has appinted a chief executice officer for the new commodities exchange.<br/><br/>Framroze Pochara is an industry expert and has more than 19 years international experience.<br/><br/>The DGCX is a joint venture between the government of Dubai, the Dubai Metals and Commodities Centre (DMCC), Financial Technologies India and the Multi Commodity Exchange of India.<br/><br/>It is hoped the exchange will begin operating near the end of this year and will focus completely on gold when it first launches.<br/><br/>Dr David Rutledge, the acting CEO of DMCC and the newly appointed chairman of the DGCX, said: "I am pleased to announce Mr. Framroze Pochara as the CEO of Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange. <br/><br/>"He has played a leading role in every facet of the capital market business and has an intimate knowledge and understanding of the industry and the competitive landscape in which we operate. With his extensive knowledge of the industry, I am confident that he will play a pivotal role in driving DGCX's initiatives and help achieve its objectives."<img alt="track" src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=8797779"/>
