Walid Atallah will be showcasing his new haute couture jewellery collection on October 1st in Dubai.

Lebanese born Mr Atallah is a fashion designer and has also created jewellery worn by the likes of Elizabeth Taylor and Julia Roberts.

His latest collection, made of gold and gems, comprises of 162 pieces and will be displayed on models at the Marriott Hotel in Dubai, reports the Khaleej Times.

"The collection is designed to make a woman feel unique. When she wears my jewellery, she should get the feeling that it's made only for her," he told the paper.

Mr Atallah has chosen to use white gold rather than the yellow gold fabrics he frequently favours on the catwalk.

His collection includes bridal jewellery, watches, necklaces, pendants and much more besides.

Last year his collection was based on the seven Emirates of the United Arab Emirates, during the show jewellery was shown by models painted in gold.
