Tuesday, 25th October 2005 (3779 views) Winnipeg-based mining firm Wildcat Exploration has announced that its sampling at a project in Manitoba has received positive results with significant gold mining potential.Sampling from the Marlin project, located near Garner Lake, Manitoba, showed a 3.1 g/t gold reading. So far gold mineralization has been found near a 500-metre strike length on the Beresford Lake Shear zone. Wildcat has said they will conduct more tests in this area. The project will be managed and implemented by Edward Sawitzky. Wildcat specialises in generating projects and currently has six going on in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. It also recently announced that it would pursue two more areas with mining firms Phelps Dodge and BHP-Billington.
