Watchmaker Titan Industries has announced the launch of its new Gold and Steel Collection of dual-tone watches in India.

The collection consists of 100 different styles of timepiece, which are said to be "international in styling" and set to "redefine the style quotient" of the gold watch market.

Gold watches account for more than half of all watch sales in the country and Titan hope their latest collection will widen the scope of designs on offer, which it says have been fairly limited until now.

"Aimed to appeal to a broad range of consumers who were earlier opting for gold watches due to lack of alternate options, this new collection will propagate a new style statement," said regional sales manager M K Suresh.

"This collection is a perfect accessory for formal and festive occasions."

The timepieces will be priced between 1,175 and 4,600 Rupees, and all watches in the Gold and Steel collection will be available from a variety of World of Titan stockists, including Timezones, Lifestyle and Shoppers Stop.
