Monday, 29th January 2007 (3286 views) ValGold Resources' president Steve Wilkinson has addressed a crowd of investors and interested parties regarding the company's Canadian and South American pursuits.Gold exploration in both these areas was discussed at the Richmond Club in Toronto on January 24th and key to Mr Wilkinson's speech was ValGold's position on the Garrison gold project in Ontario. Drilling will continue at Garrison this year in order to raise the amount of ounces of gold in resource as well as completing the NI 43-101 forecast. Asides from Canadian and South American operations, ValGold Resources also outlined its strategy for the Erakiri area in Guyana. New targets will potentially be identified at this site following stream sediment sampling work. As of last June, the mining company had finished the first stage of drilling at the Garrison gold project after completing a total of 31 diamond drill holes. Mineralisation at the Garrison gold project can be found in sulphide-rich bodies across two fault zones, according to ValGold.
