Mill repairs have just been completed at Metanor Resources' Bachelor property which is 225 kilometres from Val d'Or and further restoration work is ongoing at the site.

Contracts for the interior restoration work will be forthcoming and Metanor is also in the process of seeking the certificate of authorisation for the Bachelor gold mine in Quebec from the former owner - a certificate that is still valid to date.

Other tasks that still need to be completed at the gold mine include ensuring that the settling pond is in line with the Quebec environment ministry's stipulations.

Aside from this, Metanor Resources has provided Golder Associates with a contract enabling the firm to undertake the geotechnical drilling work that needs to be completed at Bachelor, maintaining environmental regulations are adhered to in the process.

Metanor has also focused its attentions on the Barry gold deposit as it attempts to get the site ready for production. This is currently reliant on the securing of a environmental certificate from the Quebec government.
