Tuesday, 27th March 2007 (4815 views) Investors who are interested in picking up exquisite pieces of fine art could benefit from a rare sale of proofs from the seminal US lithographer Edna Hibel.Hibel, who turned 90 years old in January, will be making available a number of proofs for sale through Cherish Collectibles. This includes the artist's renowned Arte Ovales, exemplifying her lithographical talent. The pieces are available in three different versions, including one fashioned from 24 carat gold, while others are available in white and cobalt blue. Hibel's work may well be highly prized, with the artist having become the first female to win the prestigious Leonardo Da Vinci World Award of Arts, which is only awarded every three years. She has also been commissioned to produce work for the White House, the UN World Food Programme and the Foundations of the US National Archives.
