The winter mineral exploration programme at Skyharbour Resources' Rainy River claims has drawn to a close, the mining company has announced.

Both electro-magnetic and magnetometer geophysical surveys have been completed at the site which has had the effect of delineating features at Rainy River.

Another feature of the winter programme was the embarking of a drill programme at three separate claim blocks at the Rainy River site which totalled 35 holes and accounted for a distance of 1,300 metres.

Assay results are still outstanding for the company and these are expected to be gained within four to six weeks time.

The potential for "gold rich volcanogenic massive sulfide deposits" exists at Rainy River die to the gold grades that Skyharbour has previously encountered while conducting till sampling in the area.

Skyharbour Resources has stated that it is committed to exploring the Ontario region and currently holds options or interests in a total of 11 gold or base metal sites in this area.
