Merrex Gold Incorporated has announced its significant results from drilling in the west of Mali.

The firm's Siribaya gold project has just seen recent exploratory work which managed to outline a major mineralised gold zone which is at least seven kilometres long and open at both ends, reaching to deep depths.

Greg Isenor, the president and chief executive officer at Merrex Gold Incorporated, said: "These latest drill results from our Siribaya Gold Project are exceptional.

"We are incredibly pleased with these numbers. We can confirm that we have several high-priority diamond drill targets and we plan to proceed with diamond drilling as soon as possible."

Some 31,000 metres have now been drilled at the project as part of the so-called RAB project and substantial gold mineralisation has been found with depth extension of about 30 metres.

Merrex Gold owns lots of land in west Mali which is in Africa. It has a joint venture partner called Touba Mining and together they own five mining permits covering the gold belt in west Mali.
