Brigadier Gold Limited has reported the important intersection of some good gold grades at its project in Ontario.

The Larder Lake project is located next to its namesake Larder Lake and some of the grades so far taken from these intersections are as high as 5.31 grams of gold per tonne over 2.35 metres and 2.79 grams of gold over 8.3 metres.

Herb Kokotow, is the chief executive of the firm and he said: "We're very encouraged by the positive results from this first phase of drilling results combined with historical drilling that returned significant gold grades over substantial widths."

He said it "provides us with the confidence to commit to a substantial exploration programme this spring and summer".

All of the gold intersections so far found are associated with types of rock which are similar to another of the company's mines which is called M-Island.

The company is a junior exploration firm which focuses on gold in Canada's historical mining camps such as the Dome, Hollinger and Matachewan areas.
