Golden treasures from China's ancient past are due to go on display in Seoul as part of a major exhibition.

Treasures from the Golden Age of China 206 BC to 960 AD opened this week at the capital's Museum of History and included some 325 artefacts from the period.

And the display, which includes several golden artefacts, is so impressive officials believe visitors will need to see it "at least ten times to fully appreciate every item", according to chosun.com.

The exhibition also marks the 15th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and China, with the opening of the display attended by several officials.

Opened with a lecture by Professor Lee Han-sang of Dongyang University, the ceremony was attended by some 200 academics and cultural figures from both countries, including Kim Seong-gu, the head of the office of curatorial affairs at the National Museum of Korea, who were keen to witness the gilded treasures of China's past.

The display is open daily and runs until August 26th.
