Thursday, 31st May 2007 (3075 views) High River Gold Mines has reported positive results from its flotation circuit project at its Berezitovy Gold mine, Russia.According to High River, which was assisted by Starkey Associates and SGS Lakefield in the testing, initial test results imply that around 70 per cent of the zinc in a zinc/gold concentrate could be expected to be recovered from the mine. Furthermore this is anticipated to increase the overall gold recovery from the mine by two per cent to approximately 92 per cent, High River claims. High River notes that prior to this testing, an audit of the Berezitovy gold mine was conducted by Roscoe Postle and Associates to calculate an NI 43-101 resource for gold in November 2003. The first gold pour from the mine is scheduled to take place in August this year. Two open-pit gold mines are currently under construction by High River at Berezitovy with production scheduled to commence in June and September this year Taparko-Bouroum is expected to produce gold at 100,000 ounces per annum for the first year before growing to more than 140,000 ounces in its third year.
