Carlin trend gold potential upgradedTuesday, 19th June 2007 (2219 views) Gold mining corporation Redstar Gold has upgraded the gold potential of its Carlin trend projects in Nevada, US.Redstar has upgraded the gold potential at Richmond Summit and Dry Gulch following the results of its recent investigations in the Carlin trend area. The Dry Gulch and Richmond Summit projects are located within six kilometres of mines which boast in excess of 40 million ounces of gold production and reserves, Redstar notes. "We are very encouraged by the potential for significant mineralization at our Richmond Summit and Dry Gulch projects, based on recent field work," commented Scott Weekes, president of Redstar. "Surface sampling at Richmond Summit has confirmed near surface gold mineralization at two locations on the claim block," he added. Mr Weekes also noted that both Richmond Summit and Dry Gulch represent an opportunity to test high priority targets within a recognised highly productive gold belt. There has been no previous drilling within the Dry Gulch project area.
