Gold jewellery to be showcased

An exhibition of gold jewellery from around India is to be held at Zak Jewels 2007 in Chennai, India it has been revealed.

The show will be the 16th annual exhibition and is being organised by Zak Trade Fairs in the city.

Around 60 stalls will feature at the event, where attendees will also have the chance to win a diamond ring.

"The exhibition-cum-sale ... will have a display of distinct traditional - as well as contemporary styles - of 36 renowned jewellers from across the country, including the 125-year-old Kolkatta jewellery firm B C Sen," Syed Zakir Ahmed, managing director of Zak Trade Fairs and Exhibitions told the Hindu.

Mr Ahmed added that the display range would include a bridal collection, traditional collection, antique collection, all-occasion collection, gift collection and children's collection.

Gold and diamond designs are also said to feature in the exhibition.
