Supported by a number of trade bodies, including the Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association and the Thai Diamond Manufacturers Association, and Thailand's department of industrial production, the event will also feature exhibits on fashion jewellery and semi-precious stones.

Taking place the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, entry to the event is free and its opening hours are between 10:00 and 18:00 local time.

The conference hall itself can hold up to 5,000 people and offers 35,000 sq m of floor space. It was originally opened in August 1991 by Thailand's King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit.
