Celebs opt for Femme Metale goldWednesday, 18th July 2007 (3049 views) It markets itself as "fun, flirty, flashy and definitely rock 'n' roll" and, it has been reported, Femme Metale jewellery is becoming popular with celebrities.The California-based company's jewellery ranges in price - with necklaces costing between $65 (£32) and $320 depending on the chain and pendant - and fine jewellery rings costing upward of $2,000. According to Femme Metale, celebrities who have been spotted sporting the accessories include supermodel Kate Moss, Moss' former significant other and Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp, Canadian rock-chick Avril Lavigne and 'Dirrty' songstress Christina Aguilera. "There's flexibility in how a customer would like a piece done. The customer can choose how many stones, what colour they want the stone and if they want pave diamonds. I can even have one cast in yellow gold," commented creator and designer Leslie Homan. Ms Homan reveals that she uses reference books on Victorian art, pop-culture icons and music to inspire her designs. The fine jewellery rings are made with 14-carat white gold and come in various shapes including skull and cross bone, pirate, burning heart and crown.
