Aurelian intersects goldWednesday, 18th July 2007 (2113 views) Gold exploration company Aurelian has intersected gold during infill drilling at the eastern edge of its Fruta Del Norte Condor project in Ecuador.Aurelian's Fruta del Norte gold project is located deep in the Condor properties, south-east Ecuador and consists of 38 mining concessions stretching over roughly 95,000 hectares. Highlights of the gold discovery include 172.70 metres grading 7.71 grammes per tonne (g/t) of gold in drill hole CP-07-130 and 158.64 metres grading 8.13 g/t of gold in hole CP-07-126. Patrick Anderson, Aurelian's president, noted that drilling is set to continue at FDN while the company builds on its initial resource by targeting open areas of the deposit. "We've had good success in this most recent round of drilling. The results confirm the geometry and grade of known zones of FDN, while also adding new mineralisation at depth and to the east," commented Mr Anderson. Currently, a separate regional exploration team is currently drilling at the Aurelian's El Tigre gold target.
