Rye Patch Gold enters next phaseTuesday, 31st July 2007 (2179 views) Mineral exploration company Rye Patch Gold has revealed that it has secured a second reverse circulation drill rig for the Wilco project in Pershing County, Nevada.According to Rye Patch, Eklund Drilling is providing a second Foremost Explorer 1500 buggy-mounted all-terrain drill rig in addition to attendant support equipment. The equipment is for the reverse circulation drill programme of 30,000 feet of drilling located in 54 drill holes. The initial-phase drill programme is focussed on high-grade gold potential and gold resource expansion at the Colado and Willard resource areas. "We are extremely excited by what we have seen in the drilling programme so far and feel we should accelerate this initial-phase program to expedite our drill assay results," commented William C Howald, president of Rye Patch Gold He added that the additional drill would enable the first-phase programme to be completed in mid-August with drill assays due roughly four weeks after. The Colado deposit hosts a 43-101 compliant gold resource completed by Mine Development Associates indicative of 4,750,000 tonnes grading 0.032 ounces per tonne of gold with an inferred category of 660,000 tons at a grade of 0.027 ounces of gold per tonne.
