"Promising results" for Adamus

Wednesday, 22nd August 2007 (1969 views)

Adamus Resources has announced that it has discovered new gold at its Abosso area.

According to Adamus, the first drilling at the new area has delivered "promising results".

Furthermore, Adamus notes that the shallow intercepts yielded high grade veins, with gold intercepts of one metre at 76.7 grammes per tonne (g/t) of gold and one metre at 16.8g/t of gold.

"Our technical team believe these shallow intercepts over a wide area coupled with high-grade veins suggest we could have another Bokrobo style discovery, or may even be indicative of a more substantial body of mineralisation below this shallow drilling," commented Adamus chief executive officer Mark Bojanjac.

Adamus is currently working on increasing the value of the Southern Ashanti Gold Project - of which Abosso is a part - by adding new gold resources to its current resource base.

In other Adamus news, the company recently secured drill rigs for its expansion of the Southern Ashanti Gold Project in Ghana.
