Gold targets identified at Red Rock

Friday, 24th August 2007 (2011 views)

Additional gold targets have been identified at the Red Rock gold property, it has been revealed.

Mining company Escape Gold reports that the gold targets were discovered thanks to its geophysical survey, which used the Titan 24 DCIP.

The Red Rock gold property in Nevada is reported to have "classic" signs of a low sulphidation epithermal system with high-grade gold mineralisation often found in quartz adularia veins.

"The known vertical extent of the veins has only been recognised within the Palmetto Formation as evidence in historical drill core to a depth of about 200 metres and not tested to any extent at depths ... as seen at the Ken Snyder Mine at Midas, Nevada," the company noted in a statement.

In hole RMR-4, mineralisation was discovered grading 55.3 grammes per tonne of gold over a length of 35 metres.

In July 2007, the company changed its name to Escape Gold to "more clearly reflect the ongoing exploration activities ... at the Red Rock bonanza gold project".
