The Beaufor mining property is divided into four projects Perron, Beaufor, Pascalis and Columbiere some of which have been explored since the early 1930s, when prospectors discovered gold for the first time at the site. A gold producer since 1991, Richmont Mines currently has properties in the Canadian provinces of Newfoundland, Ontario and Quebec, which have yielded a combined total of 900,000 ounces of gold. The publicly-traded company specialises in the development and exploration of primarily underground gold deposits.
