American Bonanza discovers gold zone at CopperstoneThursday, 27th September 2007 (2028 views) American Bonanza has discovered a high-grade gold zone at its Copperstone project in Arizona. The company said that four Phase II exploration drill holes in the project's South Pit target have encountered significant gold mineralisation, revealing a trend of higher grades and thicker intercepts as the drilling moves north. According to American Bonanza, this new discovery represents the potential to make a significant increase in resources at the Copperstone project. Drill results from two other holes at the site are expected to be announced in the coming weeks and plans are underway for an aggressive campaign of further exploratory drilling at the site. American Bonanza hopes to achieve production at the 100 per cent-owned Copperstone project site by 2009, which would make it the company's first high-grade gold mine. The company is currently pursuing exploration projects in the Canadian province of Quebec, as well as projects in Nevada and Arizona.
