Kodiak confirms new gold systemTuesday, 23rd October 2007 (1976 views) New drilling results from the Beardmore-Geraldton gold camp's Hercules project have shown confirmation of high-grade gold mineralisation at depth, according to Kodiak Exploration. The mineralisation is located along the Golden Mile quartz vein structure and has a strike length over 1,300 metres. According to the company, early results from a drilling programme on the site have shown that the new gold system could be a host for mineable grades of gold mineralisation considered to have an unpresedented geometry and surface scale in the history of the gold camp. Gold mineralisation has been intersected at every hole drilled on the Hercules project thus far, with additional rigs set to continue the programme on the Golden Mile vein through the end of 2007. Brian Maher, vice president of exploration at Kodiak Exploration said that the company is pleased to advance the project at the Beardmore-Geraldton gold camp. "Kodiak looks forward to future drill results with much anticipation, while continuing a systematic process of exploration in this under explored gold belt," he said. The Vancouver-based mineral exploration company has properties in the Canadian province of Ontario, as well as in the country's Northwest Territories.
