"Significant" gold values at Omni prospectTuesday, 20th November 2007 (1895 views) A sampling operation at the Omni prospect on the Terra project has yielded a "continuing flow" of significant gold values, according to the president of Cooper Minerals.Simon Tam said the company has "greatly expanded" the size of the project following the discovery of gold values ranging from 0.06 grams to 14.53 grams of gold per tonne in a collection of 30 samples. Located in Canada's Northwest Territories, the 173,304-acre Terra project is located near Great Bear Lake, 450 kilometres from the city of Yellowknife. The company claims the site may have a similar geological structure to the profitable Olympic Dam mine in Australia. Earlier this month, the company announced that it had enhanced the value of its Terra project through the discovery of new gold mineralisation on the Omni prospect, adding that the full extent of the prospect has yet to be realised. In addition to the Terra project, the company also holds interests in several wholly-owned and joint-venture projects in central and eastern Finland.
