Laptop buyers are to receive the offer of a gold coin during the month-long Sahara Festive Carnival in India, according to EFY News Network.

The event, a joint promotion between Intel and Sahara Computers, is to be held in more than 50 locations across the country and is aimed towards buyers of high-end technology, including a range of desktops and notebook PCs.

Customers who purchase an EK00 notebook computer are to be presented with a gold coin in celebration of the "auspicious" festival season, according to chief operating officer of Sahara Computers and Electronics, George Van Der Merwe.

"Our schemes like 'gold coin offer' go apt with the spirit of festival," he said.

According to Infofriend, the carnival will continue throughout the Diwali festivities as an extension of regional schemes which were initially launched for industry partners.

Sahara Computers also claims to have incorporated other schemes and offers into the carnival celebrations.
