Tuesday, 27th November 2007 (3456 views) Delegates at the 35th Yukon Geoscience Forum will have the chance to enter a draw to win a gold nugget at the four-day event.According to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, the forum, which is organised by the Yukon Chamber of Mines, will feature presentations from over 24 guest speakers about mining exploration projects in the territory, which is located in north-western Canada. Interest in the forum has been "unprecendented", thanks to the current high prices of precious metals, a government geologist told the public broadcasting service. And with no signs of the industry slowing down, hundreds of participants signed up in advance to attend the forum, which is scheduled to run until November 28. In addition to a variety of technical mining talks and an awards presentation highlighting prospecting and safely achievements, delegates will also be able to participate in a number of social events, including night bowling and a traditional beer and sandwich luncheon.
