Escape Gold starts drilling starts at Red RockFriday, 25th January 2008 (2805 views) A 10,000 metre drill programme at the Red Rock gold and silver property in Nevada has resumed, Gryphon Gold has announced.The property, which is located in the Walker Lane trend, was assigned to Toronto-based Escape Gold in March 2006 under an underlying option agreement with Gryphon-owned subsidiary Nevada Eagle Resources. It consists of 140 unpatented claims over 1,100 hectares. Previous exploration at the site involved over 26,000 metres of drilling by companies including Phelps Dodge and Newmont, which uncovered values of 55.3 g/t, 68 g/t and 48.4 g/t. Escape Gold recently staked 93 further unpatented mining claims covering 777 hectares of untested geological targets modelled on the system within the discovery zone. Red Rock is located south of the Sleeper, Cortez Mountains and Battle Mountain properties, around 70 miles south-west of Tonapah, Nevada.
