Bonaventure issues gold results from Nevada drilling

Tuesday, 26th February 2008 (1840 views)

Bonaventure Enterprises has released the results of its 2007 reverse circulation drilling programme at the New Pass project in Nevada.

The 33-hole, 5,117-metre programme intersected gold and silver deposits, as well as mineralisation that indicates the current resource has significant potential for expansion, the company said.

Results include 3.1 metres of 1.71 g/t gold with 12.2 metres of 0.99 g/t gold below it from a hole in the north-west corner of the drill grid and 5.3 metres of 0.45 g/t gold with 22.9 metres of 0.99 g/t gold below it.

Bonaventure said pieces of silicified breccia were recovered from the site, indicating the presence of a "major fault zone". Further drilling will be carried out to test this area.

The company added that mineralisation appears to be continuous for at least 152 metres west of its current resource and further exploration will also be carried out to enlarge this existing zone.

The New Pass project is located on the Austin-Lovelock gold belt in the New Pass mining district, approximately 27 miles west of Austin, Nevada. The area is estimated to contain approximately 300,000 ounces of gold.
