Moss Lake Gold Mines has announced that it has completed partial assays at its deposit 100 km west of Thunder Bay in Ontario.

The step-out drilling is designed to test the western extension of the main zone which the company hopes will be on display at the forthcoming PDAC Convention in Toronto from March 2-3rd.

Drilling at an azimuth of 160 degrees and a dip of - 60 degrees, the hole is expected to allow the company to investigate the nature of a late cross fault interpreted to cut off the deposit to the south west.

It experienced typical sericitized diorite and feldspar porphyry dykes carrying disseminated and fracture-controlled pyrite mineralization 100 feet to the south-west of the previously defined limits of the deposit

However, the company has highlighted observations that support the view that there is room to moderately expand resources in the area.

Moss Lake is a 60 per cent subsidiary of Wesdome Gold Mines.
