Miranda Gold unveils drilling plansTuesday, 25th March 2008 (1347 views) The development partners of Miranda Gold have outlined their expectations for 2008 exploration work, which will include 3,658 metres of drilling at properties in Nevada, the company has said.Miranda Gold said the drilling includes partnership work with development firms including White Bear Resources and Queensgate Resources. Under the proposed 2008 programme, Miranda Gold will work with White Bear to drill three holes at the Iron Point property. The 1,372-metre campaign will test targets at the site, which is an intersection of the Battle Mountain-Eureka and Getchell gold trends. The company will also work with White Bear on a ten-hole drilling programme at Angel Wing, a low sulfidation bonanza and disseminated gold vein system in the state's north-east. Some of the 1,070 metres of drilling slated for the site will test down-dip extensions of two outcrop veins where rock chip sampling has returned gold grades of up to 92.5 g/t gold. Meanwhile, Miranda is currently in talks with Queensgate to finalise budget details for an exploration and testing programme at Coral Canyon. Miranda Gold is currently involved in 15 joint venture projects in Nevada, which are centred around the Cortez gold trend.
