Romarco Minerals reveals assay results

Thursday, 27th March 2008 (1561 views)

Assay results for the third core drill hole (DDH-292) owned by Romarco Minerals have been announced.

The hole is located at the Haile Gold Mine in South Carolina and was collared 313 metres to the east of DDH-289, which was the initial hole.

DDH-292 was drilled at an angle of 60 degrees to the south-east and returned a composite sequence of 72 metres graded at 1.67 g/t.

The first intersection occurred at 32 metres with gold mineralisation of 1.0 g/t. The interval of 27.5 metres returned 2.2 g/t of gold.

A composite sequence of typical Haile mineralisation saw a deeper higher grade 7.6-metre sequence of 4.3 g/t, which occurred at 94.5 metres.

Although the deeper intercept is below main resource targets, Romarco, which also focuses on projects in Mexico and Nevada, said it was within open pit mining limits.

Romarco's current portfolio includes five projects.
