Andina Minerals announces drilling highlightsFriday, 28th March 2008 (1388 views) Andina Minerals has revealed highlights from further drill assay results at its Volcan Gold project in Chile.Located in the Maricunga Gold Belt, the site is currently undergoing a Phase IV exploration programme focused on the Dorado West deposit and north-west zone. Highlights, according to the company, include 544 metres of 0.88 g/t gold, while a higher-grade interval of 104 metres graded at 2.02 g/t gold resulted from drill hole DOA-722. DOA-711 yielded 206 metres grading 0.65 g/t gold, confirming further resource increases, according to Carl B Hansen, president and chief executive officer of Andina Minerals. "With six drill rigs completing a program of infill and step-out drilling, investors should anticipate further drill results over the remainder of the Phase IV program which should end during May 2008," he added. Andina Minerals has a current portfolio of five projects in Chile - Volcan (gold), Valeriano (copper and gold), Encrucijada (gold and silver), Pampa Buenos Aires (gold and silver) and Anoncarire (gold).
