Augyva issues update on gold exploration

Monday, 31st March 2008 (666 views)

Exploration drilling at the Yasinki property in Canada has intersected a corridor of stringer and disseminated sulphides mineralisation, including gold values, the company behind the work has said.

Augyva Mining Resources said the mineralisation occurs over a length of 350 metres, with widths ranging from eight metres to 40 metres.

The zone was initially intercepted by drilling carried out in October 2007, the company said, which returned values including 0.71 g/t gold over eight metres and 4.1 g/t gold over four metres.

Step-out holes completed at the site also returned eight metres of 0.15 g/t gold at a depth of 225.3 metres, and 0.24 g/t gold over 7.5 metres at a depth of 189 metres.

Additional core samples returned values of 0.23 g/t gold over 8.6 metres at a depth of 49.8 metres. Augyva said this intercept correlates with the mineralisation encountered in previous drilling.

The Yasinki property is located in the province of Quebec, approximately 550 kilometres north of Matagami and 80 kilometres south of Radisson.
