High-grade gold reported in MexicoFriday, 16th May 2008 (1080 views) Surface sampling work at the Magistral property in Mexico has returned high-grade gold values of up to 33.3 g/t gold, it has been reported.Pershimco Resources said the assay results built on previous high-grade returns from its ongoing exploration programme. A total of 237 results were received from the latest round of surface work, which comprised both grab and channel samples from the Rodrigo and Vicky claim blocks. The average grade of the total samples was 0.43 g/t gold, with individual returns graded at 2.19 g/t gold, 1.06 g/t gold, 0.94 g/t gold, 0.90 g/t gold and 0.80 g/t gold. Based on the results, the company said Magistral continues to demonstrated "significant" mineralisation linked to a skarn system, with particular concentrations around the Rodrigo and Vicky areas. Some 800 surface grab samples were taken at Magistral during 2007 and so far this year, over 570 have been logged. These have specifically targeted historical mineralisation on the surface and in underground workings around the property. Magistral comprises several mining concessions covering an area of 778 hectares in the state of Chihuahua, northern Mexico. The area's history as a mining zone dates back to 1649.
