Thursday, 22nd May 2008 (1430 views) Drilling work on the Windjammer gold property of the Golden Highway project in Ontario, Canada, has returned high-grade gold intercepts, the company conducting the work has said.Moneta Porcupine Mines confirmed that three holes were completed on the Windjammer South zone of the site to follow up on historical drill that had returned wide alteration zones with gold values ranging between 0.5 g/t and 2.0 g/t. Results from its work has "reflect and confirm" these assays, with the highest graded intercept returning gold grades of 2.21 g/t gold over 47.3 metres. Other gold values detected in the three holes include 6.04 g/t gold over eight metres, 1.26 g/t gold over 36 metres and 0.93 g/t gold over 31.2 metres. Additional intercepts were graded at 1.24 g/t gold over ten metres, 2.24 g/t gold over 7.2 metres and 46.61 g/t gold over 0.7 metres. Drilling is set to continue at Golden Highway, with more targets identified in the Windjammer South, Southwest and 55 zones. Work is expected to continue until the end of the year, Moneta said. Golden Highway comprises 655 claims over 100 square kilometres in the Michaud Township around 90 kilometres east of Timmins, Ontario.
