Thai jewellers head to Las Vegas showFriday, 23rd May 2008 (1227 views) Some 68 jewellery house from Thailand will be among the exhibitors at this year's JCK Las Vegas jewellery and watch show, according to reports.Jckindia.com said the number of companies making their way to Nevada for the exhibition and trade fair reflects Thailand's "eagerness to expand its international profile" in the fine jewellery market. Several Thai designers will display their wares - including gold jewellery with diamonds and other precious stones - in a dedicated Thai Pavilion. This will host avant-garde designs, costume jewellery and pieces incorporating gemstones, the site says. The Pavilion will also act as a showcase for the upcoming bi-annual Bangkok Gems and Jewellery Fair. Seven other jewellers from the kingdom will have their work displayed in the Lido Ballroom of the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, it adds. JCK Las Vegas aims to display the broadest range of jewellery and timepieces on the market. The event will host over 3,100 exhibitors, as well as showcasing eight of the best new designers around as part of its 2008 Rising Stars programme.
