Golden Tag announces intercepts in Quebec

Friday, 27th June 2008 (561 views)

Golden Tag resources has announced it has found gold intersections at the Aquilon main gold property in Quebec.

Around 47 holes were tested at the Lingo occurrence in the James Bay region. These holes showed assays of around 376.44 ounces per ton of gold across 0.65 feet.

This result came from a sample that showed 3,230.89 grams per ton over 0.8 metres.

Other results include 11.54 grams per ton of gold across 2.05 metres and 24.5 grams per ton of gold across 0.3 metres.

"The very high gold intersection contained seven to ten per cent visible gold similar to visible gold samples returned in surface trenching and drilling conducted by Sirios Inc. and Soquem Inc. in 2002," the company said.

At the Wolf Lake shear zone, 12 other gold occurrences have been found but have not yet been tested.

Golden Tag resources acquired a 40 per cent interest in the Aquilon Main property in 2003 with the option to increase this to 60 per cent.

The company has projects in Mexico and Canada.
