Mexivada adds more mining claims

Tuesday, 22nd July 2008 (500 views)

Mexivada Mining has filed an additional 96 mining claims for its property in Elko County, Nevada.

The company now owns a total of 149 lode claims covering 2,980 acres and an additional 800 acres in the private land of Goldstorm.

Each of the new claims is located within the Snowstorm Mountains mining district.

Mexivada Mining also announced it has recently found a Midas-style gold bearing quartz veining at the surface near the top of the Midas mine gold system.

From this Prospect Hill zone an assay result of nine g/t of gold across a width of three metres was found.

Prior exploration at the Dome Hill zone found an assay result of up to 30 g/t of gold.

The company said: "A number of gold targets on the property have never been tested by drilling and the modern exploration models for Midas ... style gold deposits suggest that deeper drilling on the property is necessary to reach certain of these targets."

Mexivada Mining also has prospects in Mexico and the Republic of Congo.
