Apple iPhone 3G available in goldThursday, 28th August 2008 (996 views) Owners of the new Apple iPhone 3G will now be able to add a little extra sparkle to their phone, reports Pocket-lint.A company named Computer Choppers has announced it can now transform the iPhone by covering it in 24-karat gold. Computer Choppers have previously treated the MacBook Pros and the iMac with its gold covering, but said it took a little longer than usual to figure out how to apply the service to the mobile due to iPhone's "poor quality plastic". No price has been announced as yet for the Computer Chopper gold iPhone. However, last year a competitor, Goldstriker, gave the original Apple iPhone a 24-carat gold treatment which cost £799.95. Other items Goldstriker has covered in gold include alloy wheels, the Apple iPod, a grille for the Chrysler and a full grille for the Jaguar X Type. The Liverpool-based company said it has over 12 year's experience in the gold industry.
