ATW Venture has released the latest drilling figures from its Burnakura gold mine in Western Australia.

Exploration work has intersected a previously undiscovered ore zone providing mineralisation of grades that are 60 per cent higher than average levels from the area.

This new zone is within reach of the existing mine development and is less than 100 metres below ground level.

Significant figures include 13.37 g/t Au across 15.60 metres, 5.92 g/t Au across 4.33 metres and 12.78 g/t Au across three metres.

Intercepts from the location are the widest that the company have created so far in the region.

President and chief executive in office Brent Butler remarked: "These are very encouraging drill intercepts that have the potential to significantly change the economics of the project."

Meanwhile, Simberi Mining has announced that Neil Novak and David Danziger are to leave the firm's board of directors.

The company - which has a number of gold projects in Australia - stated that it appreciated their dedication shown over the past year.
