Gold offers unveiled to celebrate Indian festival

Tuesday, 23rd September 2008 (728 views)

Indian jewellery brand Tanishq has announced a series of special offers across its stores to celebrate the Navratri religious festivities.

They include a ten per cent discount on 22-c gold jewellery in order to allow people to "experience the pure joy" of the festival.

Navrati goes on for nine days in honour of Goddess Durga and gold worn or bought during this period signifies that good fortune will never fade.

The Everydays and Jodhaa Akbar collections are included in the deals, which feature an "exquisite" range of gold pieces adorned with various precious stones.

Discounts will run from September 22nd to October 9th.

In India, gold is associated with security and regarded as the most valuable type of investment, according to the Tanishq official website.

It is for this reason that the firm operates an ethical practice policy that assures the purity of the gold and is fair to the craftsmen that create the jewellery.
