Alhambra "excited" by exploration at Uzboy projectTuesday, 23rd September 2008 (340 views) Alhambra Resources has revealed results from reverse air-blast drilling conducted at its Uzboy gold deposit in Kazakhstan.The firm has located a new area of oxide gold mineralisation within the vicinity and grades range from 0.20 g/t Au up to 4.8 g/t Au. Chairman and chief executive in office John Komarnicki remarked: "We're excited that our exploration program continues to be successful in identifying new zones of gold mineralisation around the Uzboy mine site." He added that the discovery supported the company's view on the gold potential of the project. The drill holes had a diameter of 7.6 centimetres and depths varied from six to 16 metres. They were placed along the east and west zones of the deposit, at intervals of five and ten metres. Meanwhile, results have been revealed from the Benkala deposit in north-west Kazakhstan, which is operated by a joint venture between Frontier Mining and KazCopper.
