Maestro Ventures acquires Gold Ore projectTuesday, 30th September 2008 (325 views) Maestro Ventures has revealed that it has signed a lease agreement with JR Exploration to acquire the Gold Ore project in Churchill Country, Nevada.The site - located 85km north-east of Reno - covers an area of 8km by 13 km and features several zones known to contain mineralisation. President Han Rasmussen stated that the acquisition represents the firm's strategy to develop long-term projects and to expand its interests out of the Great Basin area. "Gold Ore is an opportunity to significantly strengthen our project portfolio," he added. Director Ann Carpenter said that the firm has identified an emerging mineral trend in the region, commenting: "Maestro is focusing on the potential for a large poly-metallic system." Meanwhile, New Dimension Resources recently revealed that its partner Calibre Mining had completed a 1,524-metre drilling programme at the Trend gold property in Nevada. Assay results are pending and are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
