"Encouraging" gold results from Casa BeradiFriday, 24th October 2008 (318 views) Lake Shore Gold has revealed "encouraging" results from the Casa Beradi project in north-west Quebec.The top result from the 12-hole programme - which discovered a new gold zone - was 13.03 g/t Au over 6.45 metres. Other significant figures included 8.64 g/t Au over 2.4 metres and 6.84 g/t Au over 3.1 metres. President and chief executive officer Tony Makuch said that Lake Shore is "very encouraged" by the results. "We are preparing to launch a second phase of the drill program as soon as the winter weather returns and winter roads can be established as part of our ongoing exploration programme," he added. The company has a 50 per cent interest in the project as part of a joint venture with Aurizon Mines. Aurizon recently announced that it had entered into an agreement with Alexandra Minerals to acquire 19 mineral claims located next to the Joanna project, 2km north-east of Rouyn-Noranda airport.
